Torah High’s Fully Accredited Summer Programs!
All of Torah High’s accredited summer courses are fully accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education and our “U” and M” level credits can be used on any Ontario University or College application. On these programs, classes are not only held in a traditional classroom setting, but are also held while on the road touring and visiting the sites of Israel. Students will tour the entire country from North to South focusing on all of Israel’s major sites and landmarks. Torah High’s summer programs are in affiliation with NCSY.
Shakespeare in Jerusalem
ENG3U or ENG4U
This course emphasizes the development and consolidation of literacy, critical thinking and communication skills. The course will include an exploration of Canadian Jewish Poets such as A.M. Klein, Leonard Cohen, and Irving Layton. The course will also analyze Merchant of Venice, and an Israeli novel by Amos Oz.

Grade 11: Grade 10 Academic English
Grade 12: Grade 11 University Preparation

Grade 11 HRE33:
This course provides a deeper understanding of the Rabbinic Bible and its commentaries. This program will attach the student to their heritage. Students will study classical Jewish texts and learn how to apply the teachings to their daily lives. This course will give the students an appreciation for Jewish life as they partake in the history, culture, and Jewish traditions.
Grade 12 HRE4M
This course is directed toward the clear identification of religious moral principles in the lives of students. The course proceeds from foundational beliefs rooted in scripture to an exploration of the principles that shape religious life. Special attention is given to the interaction between religion and culture.

This course addresses three or more of the main areas of philosophy: metaphysics, logic, epistemology, ethics, social and political philosophy. The course will also help students refine skills used in researching and investigating topics in philosophy and Jewish thought.
Prerequisite: Any University or University/College preparation course in Social Sciences, Humanities, English, or Canadian and World Studies; In addition to previous participation in Torah High or NCSY programs.

This course is designed to provide students with the tools, skills, knowledge, and background they need to effectively lead Jewish organizations. Students will learn what it means to be a leader and how to interact and lead their peers. They will learn unique challenges to running Jewish organizations and how to be an integral part of the Jewish future. Finally, students will learn about the history and politics of the State of Israel and to successfully advocate on campus.
